JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Organizers with the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade & Festival announced the event will be held in March 2022. The parade was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Visit Jackson leaders said the parade and festival will bring much needed revenue back to the city’s tourism department. This year’s theme is “Go Big and Come Home,” which coincides with Jackson’s bicentennial homecoming theme.

The parade will be held on Saturday, March 26, and it will follow the same route through downtown Jackson. The judges for the parade floats will be by Thalia Mara Hall.

The event helps raise funds for Children’s of Mississippi.

“It’s been a rough two years, and our city, like all cities, has really struggled in the pandemic, and we’ve had to adjust to a new way of life which did not include some of these things that we do like parades. So, we are delighted to be back,” said Malcolm White, founder of the parade and festival.

The after party will be held at Hal & Mal’s in Jackson. The lineup includes the Mustache Band, the Frazier Band and several DJs.
