NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – For the first time ever, a woman will hold the title of Chief of Police in Natchez.

On Tuesday, the Natchez Board of Aldermen voted to name interim Chief Cal Green as Chief of the Natchez Police Department. Green is the first woman to hold the position for the city.

Green had been serving as interim chief since December 2022.
