NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – A longtime, former Natchez mayor has died.

According to the Natchez Democrat, Butch Brown served three terms as Natchez mayor and eight years as director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

The Natchez Mayor and Board of Aldermen held a moment of silence for Brown Tuesday night.
