HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Shelby, Mississippi, man was killed during a crash in Hinds County.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the accident happened just before 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3 on Highway 49 in Hinds County.

Troopers said a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, driven by 51-year-old Robert Shorter, was traveling south on the highway when the vehicle left the road and overturned. Shorter died at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
