RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A driver was killed during a crash in Rankin County Friday morning.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said the crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Old Fannin Road and Barnett Bend Circle in the Reservoir area.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a Ford pickup truck had left the road and struck a tree. The male driver was seriously injured and died at the scene.

The victim has not been identified. The accident is under investigation by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office.
