Central Mississippi:

MLK Convocation – Jackson – Friday

  • The 56th Annual MLK Convocation will be held at Jackson State University, honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – a tradition started by the remarkable Margaret Walker in 1968.

Fleet Feet Coffee Run – Ridgeland – Friday

  • The group usually makes a large loop around the area. After the run, the first round of coffee is free on Fleet Feet!

Dixie National Livestock Shows – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The shows will take place at the Equine Center.

Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The first museum exhibition to showcase Pablo Picasso’s landscapes and the first ever Picasso solo exhibition to visit Mississippi.

3rd Annual Youth Rodeo – Vicksburg – Saturday

  • There will be mutton bustin, calf riding, steer riding, goat ribbon pulling, goat tying, poles, barrels, flags, and breakaway roping.

Comedy Dinner Theatre – Ridgeland – Saturday

  • Join The Detectives and Anjou for big laughs and a fantastic three course dinner.

Hezekiah Watkins’ Gallery Talk – Jackson – Saturday

  • Museum staff member Hezekiah Watkins will tell his story of being arrested at age thirteen as the youngest Freedom Rider in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mississippi Farmers Market – Jackson – Saturday

  • From persimmons to peaches, from bok choy to butter beans, the Mississippi Farmers Market is the one place to go for the freshest fruits and vegetables that are grown in the state.

Natchez Farmers Market – Natchez – Saturday

  • Every week there will be live fresh produce, baked goods, fresh dairy, and arts and crafts all from local growers and artists.

Attack of the Bloodsuckers Exhibition – Jackson – Saturday and Sunday

  • Learn about mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, leeches, and other bloodsucking parasites in this skin-crawling exhibition!

WWE Supershow – Jackson – Sunday

  • WWE brings your favorite superstars from Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown to Jackson for a WWE Supershow!

Magnolia Festival Junior Cotillion – Natchez – Sunday

  • Junior Cotillion gives middle school boys and girls training and practice in social skills that will build connections, social confidence and self-assurance.

Screening of Fannie Lou Hamer’s America – Jackson – Sunday

  • This film tells the story of Fannie Lou Hamer’s pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement.

Pine Belt:

Story Time at the Hattiesburg Zoo – Hattiesburg – Friday

  • Following each story, guests will enjoy meeting one of the zoo’s ambassador animals. Children can participate in games, puzzles and other fun activities.

The Molly Ringwalds – Hattiesburg – Saturday

  • The Molly Ringwalds will perform at Brewsky’s.

HattiesDRAG – Hattiesburg – Saturday

  • TSC hosts a monthly drag show fundraiser. They will have a rotating cast of performers, and once a quarter there is an amateur show to feature new/up-and-coming drag artists.
