PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) said one additional winter weather-related death has been reported.

According to MEMA, the death was reported in Marshall County. This brings the state’s total death toll to 12 since January 14, 2024, due to the winter weather.

Additional deaths have been reported in Chickasaw, Humphreys, Leflore, Panola, Rankin, Sharkey, Sunflower, and Washington counties.
