JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car in Jackson.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said the pedestrian was truck by a car near South West Street and Capitol Street. Capitol police responded to the location on Tuesday, January 23.

Martin said the driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. The pedestrian was also transported and was in critical condition.
