JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Wednesday, January 24.

The shooting happened at a home in the 900 block of Myrtlewood Drive. Officers said the unidentified victim has been shot multiple times.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said everyone needs to work together to get crime under control in the capital city.

“We’re not going to allow the criminal element to overtake the City of Jackson. We’re going to continue to push back and hold them accountable,” Wade stated.
