WALTHALL COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A 61-year-old Tylertown man was killed during a crash in Walthall County.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the crash happened just after 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 25 on Highway 583.

According to troopers, a 1997 Nissan Maxima, driven by Herman Magee, was traveling north when it collided with a 2003 Chevy Silverado, driven by 51-year-old Robert Henning of Tylertown.

MHP officials said Magee died at the scene. Henning received injuries and was transported to Forest General Hospital.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
