RICHLAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Richland police arrested three Texas teens for multiple auto burglaries and malicious mischief.
On Saturday, January 27, Richland Police Chief Nick McLendon said officers were notified about the auto burglaries at commercial businesses. During the investigation, officers determined that more than 37 commercial motor vehicles were burglarized and their CPC modules were stolen.
Investigators identified a vehicle of interest and put out a metro area BOLO.
The same evening, McLendon said the vehicle was stopped by officers with the Madison Police Department, and the three occupants were detained for questioning.
McLendon said investigators determined the suspects had a hotel room in Clinton, and surveillance was conducted by Clinton police to prevent the stolen property from being moved.
Authorities executed search warrants on the suspect’s vehicle and the hotel room in Clinton. They found more than 60 stolen CPC modules, along with burglary tools.
The three teens were identified as Anthony Gazzara Douglas III, Javon Catrell Noble and Kenneth Demarion Lewis. They are from Houston, Texas.
Douglas, Noble and Lewis are being held in the Rankin County Jail with no bond pending court action.
