JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba said he intends to run for re-election.

The mayor made the announcement during a news conference on Monday, February 12.

Lumumba assumed office on July 3, 2017. His current term ends on July 1, 2025.

Jackson’s mayoral election will be held in 2025.
