JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a 19-year-old woman for felony child abuse.

Detective Tommie Brown said officers began investigation a child abuse case that occurred in the 100 block of Blackmon Road on Saturday, February 17. Detectives said a one-year-old had sustained serious injuries at the location.

According to Brown, 19-year-old Amya Cage was arrested on Sunday, February 18. She was charged with felony child abuse and felony child neglect in connection to the case.
