JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Killebrew Ag Foundation (KAF) announced the second annual Killebrew International Pro Rodeo.
The rodeo will be held on June 6-8, 2024, at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.
The Killebrew International Pro Rodeo is a fundraising event for the KAF, a non-profit organization committed to nurturing, educating, and training a new generation of Mississippi farmers.
KAF honors the legacy of Keath Killebrew, Sr., through agricultural entrepreneurship and
education.
“For us, hosting this event is so much bigger than simply bringing a world class rodeo to Mississippi,” said Alyssa Killebrew, founder of the Killebrew Ag Foundation. “It is our passionate mission to train, support and empower the next generation of farmers and ranchers, and money raised at the Killebrew International Pro Rodeo will help us do just that!”
More than 600 contestants from the United States and around the world are expected to compete in the Killebrew International Pro Rodeo with $70,000 in added money.
There will be a fierce rodeo competition, fun interactive audience events, and family-friendly excitement. Organizers said there will be two gravity-defying specialty acts, famed French bull jumper Emmanuel “Manu” Lataste and freestyle motocross jumper, “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram.
At the rodeo performances, additional highlights will include rodeo vendors selling clothing, jewelry and rodeo merchandise, activities for kids, and meet and greet opportunities with clowns, bullfighters, and special entertainers.
In addition to rodeo performances on Friday and Saturday night, tickets will also be on sale for the Bull Riding slack on Thursday evening, with more than 50 bull riders attempting to achieve an 8-second ride to earn a spot in the finals on Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are available for purchase now through Ticketmaster and at the Mississippi Coliseum Box Office.
