JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), through the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program (MMCP), announced their intent to revoke the license of a medical cannabis testing facility.

The decision follows an investigation into Rapid Analytics, LLC, which was conducted between December 21, 2023, and February 9, 2024.

According to MSDH officials, the investigation revealed significant deviations from regulatory standards and approved procedures.

“Medical cannabis testing is critical to ensuring product safety for patients, and Rapid Analytics’ disregard for regulatory compliance poses a threat to public health and welfare. As such, MSDH has determined to revoke the establishment’s license effective March 13, 2024,” MSDH officials said.

The agency said Rapid Analytics has the right to appeal this decision within 20 days. Officials said failure to appeal will result in the revocation of the company’s license.

Rapid Analytics tests about 70% of the state’s medical marijuana products.
