HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A 60-year-old Jackson woman was killed during a crash in Hinds County.

The crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22 on Highway 18 East near Midway Road.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2008 Subaru Outlook was traveling on the highway when it ran off the road and collided with an embankment and tree.

Troopers said the driver, Cassandria Brown, died at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation MHP.
