LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating three fatal crashes that occurred in Lincoln and Walthall counties.
The most recent happened just after 6:15 a.m. on Monday, February 26 on Interstate 55 in Lincoln County. Troopers said an unknown vehicle was traveling south on the interstate and hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was identified as 21-year-old Johnathan Grammer, of Brookhaven. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Monday, February 26 on Highway 51 in Lincoln County. Troopers said a 2014 Lincoln MKZ was traveling north on the highway when it left the road, collided with a culvert and overturned.
Troopers said the driver, 34-year-old Bryan Ford, of Brookhaven, died at the scene.
The third crash happened just before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 25 on Highway 48 in Walthall County. A 2022 Dodge Challenger was traveling east on the highway when it left the road and collided with a guardrail and a tree.
Troopers said the driver, 24-year-old Jehdiel Harrell, of Tylertown, died at the scene.
