JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a man for allegedly beating another person to death.

The incident happened in the 2000 block of Courtview Street on Saturday, March 2.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim, who has not been identified, was severely beaten at the location on Courtview Street. The victim was pronounced deceased at the location.

According to Brown, police arrested 34-year-old Justin Jones in connection to the case. He was charged with murder.
