JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said they’re investigating after a man was shot and killed after an argument over a woman.
The shooting happened on Barrett Avenue near Washington Avenue on Monday, March 4.
Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said two other people were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Investigators are working to determine if they had any role in the death of the victim, 21-year-old Siris Catchings.
According to witnesses, the shooting resulted from an ongoing altercation involving the Catchings’ wife.
Wade identified the suspect as Joshua Taylor, who is still at large. Taylor is considered to be armed and dangerous.
