VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – One man was injured during a shooting in Vicksburg Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened just after 2:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive.

Police said the male victim was taken by a private vehicle to Merit Health River Region for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Investigators said more information will be released when possible.
