JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Primary elections in Mississippi are less than one week away. The ballot will include the 2024 Presidential Primary Election, along with races for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House.
“I think we have to get more involved. And I think if we don’t start out with the primary, we won’t have a chance when it comes to the general elections. I think we also need to get more involved in politics, period, and hold our elected officials accountable, not just on a national level, but also on the local level,” said Lance Felton, a Mississippi voter.
On Wednesday, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley suspended her campaign, leaving former President Donald Trump as the last major Republican candidate. This has set up a possible rematch against Trump and President Joe Biden.
Mississippi’s primary election will be held on March 12, 2024. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
