PETAL, Miss. (WHLT) – A man has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of his sister.

Petal police said the shooting happened on West 4th Avenue on Sunday, March 10. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Ed’Lauryn Kimbreun Baylis, of Silver Creek.

Police said they arrested 35-year-old Taebyus Amaud Smith in connection to the shooting. He was charged with murder. The Daily Leader reported the suspect and the victim were siblings.
