HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) – The son of Mississippi House Speaker Jason White (R-Miss.) was arrested in Destin, Florida.
Pine Belt News reported John White, 19, was arrested by deputies with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, March 11.
According to jail records, White was arrested for liquor possession by a person under 21 years of age.
In a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page, they said, “This Spring Breaker got a notice to appear for underage possession of alcohol at 5:45 on the beach yesterday but apparently didn’t learn a lesson. He was caught again 30 minutes later in the pool area of the Villages of Crystal Beach so that means taking a ride to jail!”
White was released from jail on Tuesday, March 12.
White is also a freshman quarterback at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM).
