Northside Drive bridge in Clinton to close Monday

CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Clinton officials announced the closure of the Northside Drive bridge, effective Monday, March 18 until further notice.

The decision to close the bridge, located on the west end of Northside Drive between Saddlewood Drive and Twin Lakes North, comes after a recent inspection revealed structural concerns.

While no imminent danger is present, officials said the closure is necessary to implement any necessary repairs to ensure the continued safety and functionality of the bridge.

Detour routes have been established, and signage will be in place to guide drivers around the closure. Traffic will be rerouted from Northside Drive to Cynthia Road via Magnolia Road North.
