Man accused of killing father on McRaven Road in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man has been accused of killing his father during a shooting in Jackson on Tuesday, March 19.

The shooting happened in the 4700 block of South McRaven Road.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim was shot at the location. The victim was pronounced deceased at the location.

The Hinds County coroner identified the victim as Donald Hartwell, Sr., 67.

On Wednesday, Jackson police announced 20-year-old Donald Hartwell, Jr., was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the case.
