18-year-old arrested for shooting at Pearl apartment complex

PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Pearl police arrested a Monticello man in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex.

The shooting happened at the Grand Apartments on Colony Park Drive on Sunday, March 24.

Pearl police said they received multiple calls around 4:30 p.m. about several gunshots fired in the area. When they arrived at the location, they discovered that two men got into a fight.

During their investigation, Pearl police said they detained one man at the scene, and they discovered that the second man was dropped off at an area hospital with gunshot wounds.

Pearl police arrested 18-year-old Antonio Devon Pittman, Jr., in connection to the shooting. He was charged with one count of attempted murder with additional charges pending.

Pittman was transported to the Rankin County jail. Officials said the second male is listed in critical condition at the hospital.
