JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Thousands of power outages have been reported in Central Mississippi as severe storms moved through the state on Monday, March 25.

Entergy Mississippi reported more than 7,200 power outages as of 10:00 p.m.

The majority of the power outages were reported in Hinds and Madison counties. According to Entergy Mississippi, 1,397 outages were reported in Hinds County, and 2,678 outages were reported in Madison County.
