LEXINGTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities are investigating after an 18-year-old was shot and killed in Lexington.

Lexington Police Chief Charles Henderson said the shooting happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 on Rathell Road.

According to Henderson, the victim was identified as Tashuan Colbert. He said Colbert was walking with someone in the city limits when the shooting happened.

The police chief said the motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been made.

Henderson said agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are leading the investigation.
