JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The James Beard Foundation announced the 2024 Restaurant and Chef Award nominees. The list includes two nominees from Mississippi.

Vestige, located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, was nominated for Outstanding Restaurant.

Hunter Evans, the chef at Elvie’s in Jackson, Mississippi, was nominated for the Best Chef of the South.

The winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Tickets for the 33rd annual James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards go on sale April 9, 2024. The Restaurant and Chef Awards will be livestreamed on Eater on Monday, June 10.
