RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Rankin County deputies are working to find the suspect responsible for the death of a Pelahatchie man.

Investigators said Kenneth Lee Shoemaker was assaulted on October 30, 2023. During the initial investigation, deputies were able to track the victim’s last known whereabouts to the area of Highway 43 north of Pelahatchie.

Shoemaker died from his injuries on December 7, 2023, at a local hospital.
