JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – It’s been nearly three weeks since Belhaven resident Dau Mabil was reported missing.
Mabil was last seen on March 25 in the Belhaven Heights area. Since then, several attempts to locate his whereabouts have been made involving the community, the Jackson Police Department (JPD) and Capitol police.
On Friday, April 12, many rallied together at the Jackson Museum Trail to continue the search for Mabil.
“Update everybody with the latest that we know of what the latest footage is, which is only 25 minutes after he left home. And it’s at a really special spot. It’s at a spot on the south end of the museum trail where he planted corn in the hopes of sharing with folks,” said Karissa Bowley, Mabil’s wife.
“We hope to find some more answers about this disappearance because it just doesn’t make sense,” said Marion Geissinger, a supporter.
Searchers want everyone to know that Mabil did not disappear into thin air. His family said he often walked the Jackson Museum Trail.
