UPDATE:

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said the shooting that killed two people on Belvedere Drive on Saturday, April 20 was a murder-suicide.

Detective Tommie Brown said investigators learned from evidence at the scene that the shooting was a murder-suicide.

According to Brown, investigators believe the female victim shot the male victim before she shot herself. The incident is believed to be domestic in nature, and a weapon was recovered at the scene.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after two people were killed during a shooting.

The shooting happened in the 2600 block of Belvedere Drive on Saturday, April 20.

Detective Tommie Brown said the two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. They have not been identified.
