CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a 2005 Peterbilt in Claiborne County.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22 on U.S. 61 north of Port Gibson.

According to MHP, the Peterbilt was traveling northbound when the vehicle hit 29-year-old Todd Johnson, of Pattison.

Johnson died at the scene, and the driver of the Peterbilt was not injured.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
