HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – An Alabama man was killed during a crash in Hinds County.

The crash happened on Sunday, April 28 just after 5:00 p.m. on U.S. 80 near Jones Road.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2017 Ford Focus, driven by 32-yea-rold Curicous Palmer, of Bay Minette, Alabama, was traveling east on the highway when it ran off the road.

Troopers said Palmer was ejected from the vehicle after colliding with a tree. Palmer was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
