JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating a bank robbery.
The robbery happened at Trustmark Bank in the 500 block of State Street in Jackson on Thursday, May 2.
Police said a man walked into the bank and passed a note to the teller. The note demanded that the teller put money into a bag. Investigators said the teller did not see a weapon but complied with the note.
Capitol Police Chief Bo Luckey said officers found the suspect’s vehicle at another location off of Lakeland Drive. The suspect has not been arrested.
Luckey said it appears the money from the bank was inside the vehicle.
