JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – More than 31,000 power outages have been reported Thursday night after severe storms moved through the area.

According to Entergy Mississippi, the majority of the outages were reported in Hinds and Rankin counties.

As of 11:45 p.m., 11,068 power outages were reported in Hinds County, 17,444 power outages were reported in Rankin County, and 2,089 outages were reported in Madison County.

There are trees and power lines down in the Crossgates neighborhood in Brandon.
