JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Jackson Public School District (JPS) announced all schools will be closed on Friday, May 10.

JPS officials said the schools will be closed due to widespread power outages and low water pressure throughout the City of Jackson.

Students who have been picked up by buses will remain at schools under adult supervision until they can be picked up by their parents or their guardians.
