Brookhaven man arrested for alleged rape in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Brookhaven man was arrested in Adams County in connection to an alleged rape.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said his office began the investigation on April 24 after a resident was allegedly raped.

On May 7, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for 26-year-old James Gove. He turned himself in to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office on May 9.

Gove has been charged with rape-assault with intent to ravish.
