Jackson man flees from checkpoint, MHP says

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) are searching for a man who fled from a checkpoint.

Officials said troopers conducted a routine traffic stop at a checkpoint on Wednesday, May 22 just before 11:00 a.m.

When a vehicle approached the checkpoint, troopers said they discovered the driver, 28-year-old James Anthony Tyrun Hall, of Jackson had outstanding warrants for robbery and motor vehicle theft in Hinds County.

According to officials, Hall ran away from the scene. He remains at large as of Thursday, May 23.
