SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A 10-year-old has been hospitalized after being found unresponsive in a Simpson County creek on Memorial Day.

According to officials, the child was located at Merit Creek. First responders were able to revive the child at the location.

Officials said the child was transported to a Jackson hospital for further treatment. There’s no word on the child’s condition.
