NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – Natchez police are investigating after two men and a dog were injured during a shooting.

The Natchez Democrat reported the shooting happened on Walnut Street just after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31.

Natchez Police Chief Cal Green said William Rouse and Hunter Craft were both injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

According to Green, investigators believe the two were shooting at each other. Police are working to determine the motive for the shooting.
