LEXINGTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Lexington police are investigating after a man was shot and killed.

The shooting happened on Sunday, June 2 just before 10:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Clifton Street.

Lexington Police Chief Charles Henderson said the victim, Jamarcus Liddell Smith, was shot multiple times while sitting inside a vehicle. The police chief said this was a drive-by shooting.

Henderson said investigators are searching for multiple suspects in a dark-colored vehicle.
