SCOTT COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A decomposed body was discovered in Scott County by a person picking up metal, according to authorities.

Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee said the body was located on Strong Road on Sunday, June 3.

The sheriff said the body has not been identified. Investigators are waiting for the autopsy results to determine the person’s cause of death.
