One killed in shooting on Northside Drive

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a person was shot and killed early Friday morning.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of Northside Drive around 5:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has not been identified.

Brown said a man and a woman have been arrested in connection to the homicide. Byrian Dotson, 41, was charged with murder and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Tamar Duncan, 41, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and tampering with evidence.
