Jackson police investigate two Sunday homicides

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating two Sunday homicides.

The first case happened in the 1000 block of Marine Street on Sunday, June 9. Detective Tommie Brown said the victim, Daivion Myles, was shot at the location and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

Brown said the suspects were in a small, gray four-door sedan.

The second homicide happened in the 3200 block of Lakewood Drive around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9. Brown said the victim, Amarh Harper, died at the scene after he was shot.

According to Brown, the suspects were in two vehicles. One vehicle was a white four-door sedan, and the other was a small, light-colored (possibly gray) four-door sedan.
