JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was killed during a shooting at a Jackson apartment complex.

Detective Tommie Brown said the shooting happened at Westwick Apartments on North Flag Chapel Road on Tuesday, June 11.

According to Brown, detectives discovered that the victim stole a vehicle and was shot near the location. The victim, Quintavious McCray, was discovered in the wrecked vehicle on North Flag Chapel Road near Nantucket Drive.

McCray was taken to a local hospital for treatment and died from his injuries.
