JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The family of a Jackson man, who has been missing since June 14, 2022, is asking for help to find their loved one.
The mother of Donald Hewitt, Jr., said his phone last located him at the Park at Moss Creek Apartments. According to Jackson police, Hewitt was last seen in the 4900 block of Ridgewood Road wearing a blue and white polo shirt with khaki pants and brown shoes.
The family has voiced their frustration with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) in the past, but a new detective has been assigned the case.
“And I’m going to shout her out, Detective Archie, yes, she has done more on this case in 24 hours than anybody has done. Yes, so, I want to shut her out today. But I also just plead with you as a mother who loves and miss her son. Please help please help find my son,” said Melody Vaughn, Hewitt’s mother.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact JPD or The Special Victims Unit at (601) 960-1234 or (601) 218-7361.
