JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office will partner with Capitol police for a 4th of July Holiday Blitz, which will run from July 3-7, 2024.

“Our joint efforts aim to enhance safety and promote responsible celebrations during the holiday weekend,” said Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones.

The operation will include an increased presence across Hinds County and traffic safety checkpoints.

“Let’s celebrate safely. Designate a sober driver, buckle up, and enjoy the holiday responsibly,” said Jones.
