JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A fight at a Jackson nightclub led to shooting, according to police.

Detective Tommie Brown said the shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Friday, July 5.

According to the detective, a group of people got into an argument at the nightclub, left the property, and went to Jayne Avenue Park. Brown said the shooting occurred at the park.

One person was injured during the shooting. The victim has not been identified, and the condition of the victim is unknown.

Investigators recovered several shell casings from the scene.
