JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Bond has been set for the man accused of helping a Jackson murder suspect.
Omarion McKinney, 20, has been charged with aiding and abetting Martravious Douglas, 19, who was captured in Byram on Wednesday, July 10.
Investigators believe McKinney was the driver during the shooting in January 2024 that killed 23-year-old Anthony Davis, a local DJ, in Jackson. They said McKinney knowingly harbored and concealed Douglas while law enforcement was looking for him.
McKinney’s bond was set at $200,000.
Douglas was charged in Jackson for the shooting deaths of Davis and Roitavious Greenfield, who was killed in North Jackson on Wednesday, July 3. Bond was denied for Douglas on Thursday, July 11.
Investigators said the two recent homicides happened while Douglas was out on bond in connection to another homicide that occurred in 2022.
